This PF looks like a frankenstein of bad pose choices and wonky proportions.

To you maybe but the first PF is still my favorite. I’ll take it over Prime 1’s new 52 and both newer PFs. I have mine with a custom leather cape and he is majestic!

I've had exactly the same problem. As a international collector, it's revolting to experience such a situation... we feel hopeless.

Good to hear from fellow members with the same problem. It'll continue to be a problem as long as this cheap pleather material is being used. They coul'dve avoided this problem if they used the exact same material as the grey areas of his suit. Too late now....please stop using this material Sideshow.

The second Batman PF's cape (Hunchback of Gotham) will have the exact same deterioration in a few years time. Simply unacceptable for a high end collectible.

Doesn't Rogue have a leather jacket too? Or Black Canary?
(I don't own the statues)

Unfortunately yes. My first Rogue PF developed cracking before I sold her. The maquette will also likely have the same problems.

You can also see this with Hot Toys figures and Prime 1 Batman capes.

The pleather issue is really dependent upon where you live as well as the temperature, humidity and sunlight.

I live in Canada, and I still have toys from when I was a kid(40 years ago) that I passed down to my children, that feature pleather elements to them. No signs of breakdown or flaking.

yeah aside from environment i dont think all pleather is created equally, different factories / materials / production methods. hopefully these companies are splurging for quality materials given the price increase over the last few years

it really depends on how far you want to go with it, i went down the rabbit hole of correcting the proportions and it took forever

They also have to sculpt behind his knees as there is some anatomy that SS decided not to sculpt because it was hidden by the cloth...
