"Sorry. Been gearing up for C2E2 this week so haven’t been on here much this week. Just heard about some questions of comments on Magic sculpt. I’m actually fine with the portrait on Magic. This is just like when we first showed Jordan. Everyone has their own “view” of how someone should look. And we just got the factory sample back for Jordan (which will be at the show) and he looks amazing.
The problem is it is really hard to photograph brown skinned realistic statues and capture all the subtle in the paint tones in the browns. I will say Jordan 1:4 is one of the best likeness we have done, but he does look 100% even better in person then photos. And I challenge anyone in Chicago this weekend to come see. Magic is here as well.
NOW, with that said there are some things on Magic I don’t like that will be fixed. The sculpt to me is awesome (grey scale attached). BUT, the eyes on our prototype are painted too small. Here is a quick Photoshop Before and after here. Still too small as I want closer to the size of the grey render. Also our painter went a little too heavy on the shadowing around the muscles. Making them look a whole lot more developed (though he is still a tad too muscular too). So we will be fixing the eyes in production, toning down the muscles/shadowing, and paint his hair dark and goatee a little thinner.
I’ve also attached the many variations of Magic through time."
There are a ton of pictures attached too of him from RL but I'm not going to go through the effort of adding all of them sorry.
