Bodé was my favorite underground cartoonist. Not very well known in France, less than Crumb. I discovered his work one year after his death.
Cobalt 60 has been published by the french comic Métal Hurlant, too many decades ago...

But yeah, I guess it could be argued that Stout ripped off Bodé.

I hope it signals the start of a Stout line, but it could easily just be a one-off.
One of the few pieces I keep displayed year round is this one
...but that's partly because it's a small one and has it's own dedicated spot in a small cabinet. I do love it though. Whoever did it, nailed Stouts style.
