China and media
What do you guys think? To me it seems like China are like a spoiled kid that can't take any criticism and just block anyone that disagrees with them. I didn't really know much about the China/Hollywood deal until the South Park episode(which was really good imo). I know Blizzard is receiving a lot of backlash for banning a player that supported Hong Kong, and the NBA's in a tough spot because so much money comes from China and Nike of course...I think some of these companies are just sellouts because they only care about money at the end of the day over supporting what's right or wrong.

Yeah, to me it's weird how so many stars and companies are so outspoken about certain things, while also being quiet as a mouse about a country that actually oppresses their people because they want the money they bring. It's sad too because catering to China we'll get more and more movies like Venom and less and less like Joker.

That’s what socialism leads to....but this is a politics-free site so I’ll leave it at that.

China is a worry.
Look at the protests going on in Hong Kong at the moment.
Today's headline news on the issue was:
Hong Kong protests: President Xi warns of 'crushed bodies'
China's President Xi Jinping has issued a stern warning against dissent as protests continue in Hong Kong,
saying any attempt to divide China will end in "crushed bodies and shattered bones".
nice
The "Lady Liberty" statue was installed on Hong Kong's Lion Rock overnight by several protesters
I wonder who made this 2/1 piece?

Wow, that's sad to see! What's crazy is that I've heard someone say that even some former Chinese citizens that live in free countries still defend/support the Chinese government. I mean I guess I can see it being brainwashed from birth but it's still mind-blowing knowing how censored and controlled they were.

I could say a lot but i can't here.
I'll just say I am extremely grateful for the United States Constitution being law of the land I'm a citizen of, most especially
the Bill of Rights.
