Well the day started at early for the drive down and the anticipation was high.



was Vessy gonna show by 9am ???LOL
we weren't disappointed other than by the size of the line - OUCH what a turn out for a little show

Both Juzzy(pictured as well LOL) and Vessy came with Black Fanboy Ts to stay in the spirit of the con

the next step was to pass the money collecting force of the stormtroopers of the 501st

Once we got in there where the hell was Jim Friggen LEE???

"where is he, Vesna??"said Juzzy impatiently as we looked at the map

he is not there

not in the wrestling ring

and not down this alleyway
Where was he ???- as we wondered it was announced that the queue for Jim Lee was closed at 9:15 with a con start of 9AM - NOT HAPPY but we made due with our situation and we weren't gonna let it ruin our day - we held on to hope for day2 and marched on to make day 1 in the end the best day especially with our little friend in hand!!

So we wondered around the con and found this artist in her booth and she offered to draw Zombie versions of people - We thought lets get into the spirit of it all and got our pics done for $5 each - it was a lot of fun and here are the results - all sketches were titled LOL

Once all this was done we thought we wonder and get a feel for the con - breathe in the atmosphere
Vessy and Juzzy were right into the spirit of it all and here are some pics of our journey through the stinky lines and the jungle of our compatriot fanboys LOL

we had to bribe and spend quite a lot of sketch money to bribe and bail her a$$ out LOL

we continued on our way to find our imported movie and TV celebreties - whom unfortunately time permitting we weren't able to meet but admired from afar
the good doctor McKay from Stargate Atlantis( where are all the hot chicks when you need to import them LOL)-i think he needs to go to the bathroom LOL

the phone was ringing and we all said who is calling now - we forgot we had a Ghostbuster in town

We fooled Juzzy into taking a photo with Shannon Elizabeth a bit of a prude snob actually never said a word - Hey Juzzy watch were you put your hands mate LOL

We found a real 'Lady" who wanted to put her hands on our Juzzy and probably take a little more - we said(Vessy and I) hands off lady he's taken (we got your back Scotty LOL)

she would of sucked him dry LOL LOB...of his soul i meant LOL

though the quality of the costumes did not measure up to the level of our own miracole and fireburns - people were really getting into the spirit of the weekend
we took pics with quite a few characters and stayed away from a few too LOL( hey Juzzy how about the 'lady' in blue LOL i think the gimps asleep - i think he went to the wrong convention LOL)

We saw this small stormtrooper - youre a bit short for a stormtrooper - LOL came to mind- we all did a double take when we saw the stilettos LOL but realised our mistake when we saw the boobies in the chest plate - so we took a pic - vessy was happy to have pic with someone undoubtedly smaller than her LOL


Vessy found a well travelled professor of archeology- part time adventurer


but as we passed the Hall of Justice she was getting excited - Spandex
Blue not the colour she was hoping for but still happy

We were getting close the man in black -
we found his hidden library


we found the Joker and Harley but no photo with Vessy she wanted the one and only!! Jokers grin was gone


but Vessy found the man himself in a duel between scarecrow with batgirl giving a hand - Vessy jumped in to give the caped crusader a hand - do you need a new robin handsome she was heard saying


one of our favourite local comicstore guys diverted the evil poison ivy from the fray -thanks Jarrod

We decided it was time to get our first sketch for the day after an early morning reconaissance mission of the con
I saw a familiar and famous face in the crowd - It was Colin Wilson artist of some gr8 Dark Horse SW books and also publishing books in french as well as some TPB stories with the likes of Garth Ennis and Ed Brubaker
He is currently in negotiating one of his more french riske crime TPB with Vertigo after it has been picked up by paramount - well done Colin
He is more known for doing his only and first superhero sketch last year for our very own Avenger a gr8 Jack Of Heart Sketch that started the international con sketch exchange program LOL

here is another one i got a pic of - for one of our good buddys Corey Low - who got also one of the very first Jim Lee sketches of the day( appearing later in the thread)


Colin was convinced to do a special project/commision for Juzzy and I for a special little lady - looking forward to looking through the mail in the next couple of weeks
we also bought one of his TPB s for this little lady and Colin put in a free sketch inside with a nice message


Juzzy was looking a little thin and weary maybe it was the subject of the pic that clouded our judgement or the remaining proof of two black eyes but after laying down a few sketch request which will appear later it was time for lunch at the casino(smart move - looking at the con food only second to hospital cafetaria LOL) my family arrived in tow and off we went - gr8 timing
