its a ok statue but the price is way too high for it. their statue are rather simple and the price should be around 600

Cool but the price is ridiculous. Even at $600, the price is insane.
I know SS has the resources, but if they can produce their original pieces like the Dragon Slayer for example for $499 with more detail and a base that's not a puck, then at worse these these originals from others that are very plain should be around $450-$550.
$1000 you are in a whole new ball game competing against actual amazing pieces.
I just don't understand the mindset of businesses, when you are an unknown get your foot in the door first and don't try to go for peoples throats immediately. It's not like this 1/4 statue is bringing something new/innovative to the table that warrants the dumb cost.

I imagine these companies are run by "enthusiasts" rather than actual business people. I'm almost certain no kind of market research was conducted before these pieces were designed and priced.
The White Widow piece, despite its low ES, hasn't sold out, and likely never will. Just like the Naked Lady, it's uninspired and brings nothing new to the table as a statue or a character design.
Imagine you have $1K just sitting idle, you can buy one of these or you can purchase SideShows Black Canary and get $400 in change....for example.

I think nekkid KatFight looks awesome... but that is the crisp cast and precision painted model.
After the Chinese factory gunks it up with stone powder and rushes it through molding and airbrushing it will look just like any other Chinese factory statue from any other company.
I would happily pay the 1K for an exact copy of this pristine prototype as she's quite relevant to my basic instincts er I mean interests..
The decal on the back is exquisite looking. Wonder how it will end up looking.

It's a great looking piece. But a lot of factors on why there isn't much interest...

To me, that's a lot to ask for a new company with fairly new characters.

... and these are the main reasons for me and probably most other collectors.
I'm always glad to see a new character being produced, but sadly in this rough economical climate it's going to be a major uphill battle.

Something about the base looks cheap.
The character (which i know nothing about) says (to me atleast) Harley crossed with Sci-fi.
I guess the back features a large decal. It piece would look better without the back decal.
Over all, the price seems high. Sideshow could probably knock these out for about $550 - $600

No guess to it, the back could not be anything but a decal
It's funny people here think this is somehow a marketing failure or price gouging. Collectors need to learn more about how these things work.
These are just passion pieces for fans of the artist, like Dean Yeagles Mandy statue by Anders Ehrenborg. 3D printers and instant global communication just makes this stuff more accessible now.
Just keep these things in mind everytime an established company says a character or line continuation isn't possible...

I cannot imagine a painter painting the same picture 60 - 100 times.

Doing just that one would take hours for even the most skilled painter.
