Art goals for next year (2013)

Almost that time again, what are your art hopes for 2013 ?

Nice – I was waiting for someone to start a 2013 art goals/plan thread. I will put some thought to this and post later. I added 2013 to the title as well.

More Brad Walker GotG OA (one or two pages/dps in particular), if they're available.

... eventually I would love to grab a specific Howard Porter JLA page or two... but that's down the line.

.... and I still would like a headshot of Caiera from Carlo (Pagulayan) to accompany Aaron's. Almost had it twice this year, until his rep stepped in and squashed Carlo's enthusiasm (to be fair, I wasn't at those convention, but the rep set it up with me ahead of time - only to change his mind "weekend of", and then Carlo was about to draw it for SF members picking it up for me at two separate conventions (he was actually "eager" to draw her, since I guess she's rarely requested (?), THEN the Rep changed his mind and stopped the artist.... frustrating, yes?). Oh well.


.. and that would about do it for me; comfortable with where my collection is. Got my cover, my first page, my etc... so I'm good on the "novelty" front.

Off the top of my head, I really want to get a couple of commissions from Tim Sale. I set some stuff up a while back but haven't bugged him about it since he recently moved. I'm going to see if he'll have time to do them next year.

Other than that, I'd love to add another Ron Lim Silver Surfer cover to the collection and possibly another cover or splash that catches my eye. It all depends on what's available and at what price.

- attend c2e2 and wwc and get some good art out of that
- virtually attend sdcc and eccc and snag a piece or two out of those
- potential return to nycc
- finally get my elusive Booth Batman!

I also have a goal of attending C2E2 and Wiz World Chicago and maybe Motor City Comic Con and seeing what I can snag there. That's likely where I'll hunt down Seeley and Franchesco and I'll shoot to do a pre-convention commission with Daniels.

Another Byrne commission would be great, but the wife has plans for a trip to Europe. Saving up will take a bit longer than planned for that one.
