There weren't any Fine Arts pieces on display. I think they just decided not to bring any to NYCC.

I don't know. I'm not getting a good feeling about what's happening with Koto.

They don’t seem as hyped about the 1/6 scalers as they do about the 1/10 scalers. Just my opinion. I hope they release the Weapon X though, my big brother would buy it, then I could go to his place and stare at it.

I'm sure they're just following sales or even more so profits.

The small stuff is usually PVC and far easier to automate production.
Even 1/6th polystone has to be hand painted and the competition for those factories is looking like a hot kitchen, even more so with more and more companies looking at smaller scales.

Even from a vendor/retailer perspective you know they will always have an easier time moving $60-$90 stuff than $250-$300.

It's not just that Koto isn't investing in Fine Arts anymore, but their 1/10 prices have doubled what they use to be and those are still PVC.

They let go of Gonk. They couldn't keep Sosa. They went for Bishoujo Hasbro when that license should have been ArtFx and ArtFx+.

I don't get it. If they had some major anime licenses that they wanted to focus on that would make more sense to me, but I don't even see that being the case.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Or borrow it and vanish.

Nice! Was there any new Marvel mentions in their catalog? Can you share the pages?

Some of NYCC 2018 display.

Storm Fine Art at bottom right, with additional mohawk head.

Whew! Glad they didn't kill that piece off. Hopefully they'll still go through with Weapon X as well.
