Jack Bauer shot through the walls to kill someone once. I noted to reinforce the walls on my home...Also, people hide in bathroom tubs when bullets start flying.

The point isn't that he shot through the door (or walls). Obviously walls and doors, at least the interior variety, don't stop bullets unless they hit a stud. The point is he is trying to say he didn't know it was her in there even though neighbors say they heard them arguing before the shots were fired. So he is trying to say that he thought an intruder broke in and went in his bathroom and shut the door. So he just fired bullets blindly through the door.

He didn't shoot before that so it isn't as if he was shooting at someone and they ran in the bathroom to escape and he kept shooting.

Well when people get guns, they tend to use them when they get the chance. That's what I'm getting at. The whole thing sounds crazy.
