My guess is since they are doing Absolute Carnage, and their write up says Venom Hulk is from Absolute Carnage, they wanted to make a little Absolute Carnage collection.

But still, XM making interesting choices doesn’t translate to sales or whatever standards of success are judged by. Interesting choices doesn’t mean people will want to buy the product. Miles is already going to get but so much sales, he isn’t selling Peter Parker units, and then this is a very pinpointed and story specific version, not sure what they think this will sell.

I was so hyped for this piece, but this baffles me. XM Studios is known for maintaining the classic look of characters, but then just throwing in small modern touches.

But for Miles Morales, they don't go with his original look and add modern tweaks, they appear to be going with a more recent (and extreme) design.

Doesn't make sense to me. This seems like a decision you'd make if you were putting out your third or fourth Miles statue--not the first.

This one was probably the most popular suit from latest Miles ps game, so I guess that's why. This one was my fav and I also like comics, guess this one is for people like me

But I think the image is wrong. I think they’re doing Carnage Miles, not 2020 Miles.

Has anyone heard anything on this in the year since it was revealed? And if so, was it revealed whether it's the regular Miles or some other version of him?

I haven't seen or heard of anything. I forgot they even had this in the works.

This is why I don’t like when products are announced too early. You never know when they’re coming and given XM’s history, if the product will ever come at all (Jane Foster, Quicksilver, Sif, Wasteland Batman, Fairy Tales line or whatever that was, etc). Hopefully Miles is still happening.
