I wonder what the chances are someone ordered the x-force, and uses it to replicate the preferred head sculpt.

I've seen some one basically copy the venom comiquette and is selling it on ebay as a "custom"

Maybe it is cheaper, or they do not know it is recast. I have seen terrible recasts in Asian flea markets for bargains, many of which are not even the same scale as the original. I have seen a whole store full of recasts before.

Remember, many of us are very familiar with these pieces and can spot fakes a mile away, but the average joe doesn’t know, or possibly doesn’t care if the price is right.

Been pages on pages talking about the pro: you get the head you want. Without ponying up near $700 for a ridiculous variant.

I think I've been on waitlist for the originals 2 for 4 months now.
Been checking here daily to see if anyone elses converted.

Knowing the better portrait is out there, has killed my interest in the other.

The thanos recast portrait was practically exactly like the ss version. If you check how many sold it was it was a ton of them. Most doesn't know they were buying a recast because the sellers say Asia release and many of those people who bought from the fake asia sellers sells them as real because they don't even know they bought a fake from the beginning. things gets mixed up really badly in this hobby. I never owned it because I have the ex already. They sell them painted and unpainted so a buyer can send it to a top pro painter if you wished. Count on this to be copied for sure by the Asia factory workers.

I'd buy a recast of the alternate head. I'd be spending 590+ just for a portrait. So yeah, I'll be looking if their decent
