XM Studios Mr Sinister 1/4 Statue

Cool Sinister, not sure what people were expecting since this is how Sinister is in the storyline they went for. Krakoa base looks nice. Not a classic Sinister, but it wasn't meant to be to begin with.

Ya i would have wanted a more classic representation than this, I give XM credit for trying to do other characters. But they really need to up there game on portraits.

thats just it, yeah everyone wants the classic but even if they were forced to do this version it could have been waaaaaay better

- darker, less busy / colorful base that doesnt distract you from sinister
- better color palette on the suit
- better portraits
- different, more "sinister" pose

sucks there still isnt a good 1/4 scale sinister from anyone after all these years

Looks like a custom.

I have quite a few XM pieces and feel they really need to step their game up. They're becoming precariously close to irrelevant to me. Not that they care I'm sure.

So on the "tone" of this Sinister. This perfectly fits him where they are pulling the inspiration. Heck this has been him for a good long while now and frankly I've enjoyed him. Actually I thought he took on more of this feel before Hickmans run. Back to the statue. I'll have to see the switch outs but to me this is a good statue.

I like the pose and costume but the base is too fruity. I'm not familiar with the storyline at all, but if they darkened up the pumpkins and flowers I think it would look great.

I'm happy for fans of this version getting something I never thought would get made, so kudos on XM for that. Zero interest, personally, and my 1/4 Jim Lee custom is still king, for me.

That's the one thing that has been an issue with me on XM, they are just looking like maybe a step above most customs, in some cases as bad as a lot of customs.

They step up by doing some big concepts no one else would touch. But then lack in many other area's. It's harder for me to enjoy a big concept when the portraits look mediocre.

X-men are an easy sell for me but i haven't purchased any of there's in a long time.

I'd prefer a true classic version, but XM nailed Sinister in his current incarnation in the comics. Shouldn't be a surprise if Marvel wants companies to make products based on what's going on in the current projects. Just sucks for old school collectors that want the version we grew up with.
