XM and Prime-1 bases getting too big?

Do you find that some of the bases are getting too big? There is an old saying, "size matters". However, are you willing to pay $200 SGD to ship the statue from Singapore to your neck of your woods. Are you willing to pay $300 more for a base sculpt?

The other issue is space. Look at Prime-1 Venom? Half the statue is the base. It's massive. All there movie transformers are the same.

Would you rather save a few $$$ if XM or Prime-1 kept there bases simple. Wouldn't you rather have another statue to display that you are able to display on 1 shelf rather then having 1 base take the room of 2 statues? I know I would.

Too big?... how about too damn heavy. You can add ECC to the list as well.

I don't mind a piece here and there that has a massive base, if the character warrants it (aka XM Phoenix or Darkness).

However, on the flip side, I feel XM often creates huge bases for characters that simply don't need huge bases, i.e. they do it just because, or to try and exaggerate the character when there's no need for it (aka Spider-Man or Magdalena).

I want the full package, no compromises, nothing less.

The bases are not too big.

I prefer smaller bases, just so they fit in my Bestas. But I appreciate nice big pieces too, just can't get them.

Most statue companies offer minimized bases so there are plenty of options.

XM's bases are part of their signature DNA and makes them special.

XM bases are a big part of the appeal, but we all have limited space.

One thing I'd like to see that no company offers is two bases. One usual theme base that is as big as needed and then a simple black base that takes up as little room as possible, which is shaped to support the pose of the character whatever that may be.

This way you can cater for both types of customer without adding too much to the overall cost of the statue. Of course, it wouldn't work for all statues (e.g. Ghost Rider) or where the pose requires most of the real estate.

F4F have taken this approach but have different variants of the statue with different bases. Since XM don't have exclusives, would be nice to have an all-in-one package where it makes sense.

As long as the figure is at the forefront and the base is appropriate and tells a proper story, I'm good with it. Not a big fan of elaborate diorama bases though.

The XM Electro is the perfect middle ground for me.

Yea Electro looks amazing. I'm not even a fan and I've contemplated getting this. Just needs to squeeze in a Besta.
