I really want to see this one. Glad you liked it.

Main reasons why I didn’t care for GOTG 1,2 or Thor 3. I didn’t think IW had near as much camp as those.

I have never seen any of those but in the case of Infinity Wars we are talking about no less than the potential destruction of the planet and we get these nonsensical quips and sassy one liners from pretty much everybody. I think I may not be the type of audience these films shoot for and obviously they know what they are doing because the do huge business, but for me it just doesn't work.

If you think Infinity War has too much humor then definitely avoid the Thor: Ragnarok, Guardians of The Galaxy and Ant-Man movies. I found Infinity War to be relatively solemn compared to those. I've also come to realize the appeal of Infinity War is much higher if you have seen all of the previous MCU films--and liked them for the most part of course.

The cohesiveness of the MCU films is just astounding. To keep all the egos in check and to maintain a certain sense of cohesiveness across so many super hero movies must have been a monumental task. Say what u may about the MCU movies they are certainly not lazy despite a few missteps.

Velvet Buzzsaw 5/10 - really nothing great outside of Gyllenhaal's acting which is the only interesting thing in the film.

Bad Times at the El Royale - 8.5/10

A stylish noir crime thriller full of twists & turns with a great ensemble cast and a strong unique narrative. It’s a bit Tarantino-esque so fans of his should find this appealing. Character driven with plenty of mood and atmosphere to go around. I really enjoyed this one.

Not really a movie and I have no idea how to rate it but I have been watching “Tidelands” on Netflix It is basically a show about gangster mermaids with plenty of Cinemax level soft porn mixed in.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.
