That's the best paintjob I've ever seen on a dinosaur prototype, and usually what's on the ECC prototype is on the final product.

I think I might be obsessed with this Spinosaurus.
I didn't see this as a likely scenario at all, I had zero hype prior to Monsterpalooza and, while I do own some 1:35 W-Dragon and Nanmu Spinosaurus, I'm not really a fan of the movie. In fact, cool base aside, I would have never purchased the Prime 1 version even at gunpoint.
But this? I just can't get over.. and I'm not really sure why.

I keep fantasizing about a custom, hyper-realistic jungle base having the two next to each other like in this render shared by tamaboy:



Under proper natural light? That ---- would 100% look like something straight out of the screen. One impossibly badass piece.

If they won't simplify its paintjob, and final product is the usual 90/95% of this prototype, this could become my #1 favorite statue.

I hear you, this has drawn my attention from other Spino products. The Hammond figure, the new W-Dragon 1/35 (based on the animatronic this time), it all seems pointless when this exists. And those are some great pieces, things we've waited years on.

I know it's only the orthographic perspective making the Spino's back leg appear lower here, but I love it and wish it felt more like this from other angles.

That aside, how did tamaboy create this render? Did he work on these? What's his Insta?

It'd be cool as hell if ECC released a separate base for both statues like this, but it might be difficult to guarantee perfect fits across every piece.

Same. Have the new W-Dragon Pre-Ordered but, as you said, it all feels so pointless.

He's our longtime user here, I believe he simply asked Steve to share this, but I'll let him answer as I don't know the details. IG post reads:
