It seems like the black label books were meant to be out of continuity, but I think that some of the black label books could be in continuity books as well

I believe that Tom King Mr. miracle 12 part series was a black label book, but it seems to have worked itself into current DC continuity.

Cool. So the story is good, nothing groundbreaking or anything but solid enough. The art is what puts this book on my top shelf in the ole Batman display section.

Just finished reading it. I agree, the story was good but not great. Barnes confused Zatanna?s name with her father, Zatara, at one point (an editor should have caught that) and I suppose the werewolf character?s name of Talbot was a tribute to the Universal horror film. The art?s great, though, as you said.

Yeah it's always nice to get a new addition to the book display. I don't have many now that I'm looking forward to. Batman: City of Madness looks interesting and I'll give Batman and Robin Year One a go (even though I hate Robin). There's a book called Gotham by Gaslight the Kryptonian Age but that just sounds bad to me. I'll probably go ahead and get The Cult in Deluxe format even though I have the single issues. We need some more of the Black Label Batman stuff to come out.

I?ve got Batman: The Cult in TPB and don?t feel the need to upgrade. I?m a huge fan of Wrightson?s art but this isn?t his best (which, for Wrightson, means it?s still pretty good). Will have to check out City of Madness.
