Arrow DC's head of Movie/TV hints at announcement.

Warner Bros and DC definitely got the fan boy world talking when they announced Batman and Superman would be going toe to toe in Man of Steel 2, but what about the larger plans for the DC cinematic universe? It appears WB plans to use DC as the foundation for their theatrical releases in the years to come.

While Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara was talking at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Media, Communications and Entertainment Conference he had the following to say regarding the growth of WB:

“The other places where we think we can have growth is DC Comics.

“I think the basis, foundation of those 12 to 14 pictures are going to be coming from DC Entertainment.

“We have Batman Vs. Superman coming out in 2015, but there are going to be in the coming months a lot of announcements regarding the future movie, television, games and consumer product pieces that are going to be coming from DC.

“DC really does touch a lot of parts of our business and is an important part of the strategy in how we are going to grow going forward.”

They should not rush it just because they are behind, that will result in a poor movie ie Green Lantern.

They will never be able to create a masterpiece like Batman and Robin again. That's for sure.

They should be capable of one movie a year.

This is WB we are talking about. As greedy they are there is no way they'd be content with just one movie every year. They are quite enthusiastic about catching up with Marvel asap.

I have to agree with your assessment, based on my contact with them in the past. WB seems driven infinitely more by corporate mindset than they are by the creative mindset. I know this might sound stupid, since virtually all companies are driven by the desire to make money, but I feel like the balance is way out of kilter with WB. They seem to be ALL about the benjamin's, and I'm afraid they will spew out sub standard fare to try and shorten the gap between the Marvel cinematic lead, and them. I hope this isn't true, and they put the time and quality into their upcoming movie projects...I guess time will tell. One thing I want to see, is how they address the Flash in season 2 of Arrow, (an excellent show by the way). I'm very curious to see how they deal with Barry Allen...

What do you know, WB finally woke up and realized Marvel is kicking their butts.
