I just finished the 1st episode, and, besides having to turn up the brightness on my tv, I thought it was great. Really appreciated the use of purple light whenever flashbacks or scene mood-lighting was used regarding Kilgrave. I'm supposing "the Purple Man" is just to goofy a term to use on this show.
I powered through Daredevil in just 2 days. I intend to slow down and savor this one for a little longer.

4 episodes in and think it's weak thus far. I don't get how she can lift a car but when she fights people she only sends them a few feet away and has to punch them multiple times....

It's quite simple she controls her power. Same when Superman hits Batman.

I know it's on Netflix but still surprised Disney was okay with the graphic sex

5 episodes deep & I'm still liking it, although, so far, not as much as NF's Daredevil. One thing that strikes me however, with this character & a lot of the modern heroines represented in comics, film & tv ... does being a modern heroine translate into just acting like a bada$$ dude/guy that we've seen in pop culture for the past 20 years? Is neo-feminism just a matter of making a female character act like a kind of a bastard-guy these days? Screwing, doing shots, cussing, threatening, pretending not to care ... I find it rather boring in male culture represented in film & on the page, so now we double down with women? I don't want Jessica to be "typically female as represented in pop-culture" but are the social strides society is looking for today just translate into women acting like Ford-Fairlane?

I just finished watching all 13 episodes... Overall it was pretty good, but it did kind of feel like they didn't quite have enough story for 13 episodes, a lot of boring sections in it... for example, they could of taken out the whole Lesbian relationship/revenge story and it wouldn't of impacted the story at all...
