A Cimmerian
I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Looks very nice, too bad it's too big for me. I would have bought it if it was 1/6.

Just saw this on Facebook, beautiful. My wife probably wouldn't let me display it so it would stay boxed lol

I am really liking what they did with the paint up. Unpainted the circular "portal" look was kind of getting to me to be honest. By the paint scheme and leaving the bottom part of one tree bark brown it really eliminates that issue for me.

I'm going to look at this for a bit before I make my final decision. I'm a little dissapointed. I like the girl but for me, the base is holding me back. I own the ARH Barbarian. You could take that and put a yellow backdrop behind it and it really looks pretty damn identical to the Frazetta picture. Same with the other sculpts like Death Dealer and Atlantis. I wanted the same with Cat Girl. I get the base would have been huge and how many people really want to pay or give up shelfspace to a giant 1:4 scale tree? Probably not many.

They got the girl right and the panthers right and the base looks good. It just doesn't look like it fell out of the painting. It looks like an adaptation of the painting. It's a damn good adaptation... but it's not a must have piece. I wish they would have kept that digital sculpt they bought and gone with that. I liked that one better.

But this is a good piece and should do well.

Yeah well, when things went south with ARH my monthly statue budget went to other things... a bronco rebuild, 28mm miniatures, dwarven forge. Now I'm a bit more picky in what I'm getting statue wise. Jonathan Dewar is getting pretty much all of my statue cash right now. I had my eye on this since its inception and seeing Ehrens Cat Girl got me even more interested, but the base isn't doing it for me. There is just too much artistic interpretation and compromise for me with the tree.

Once again, it's not bad... not at all. It's just not what I personally was wanting. And for the $500 plus that I imagine this will cost, I want to be wowed and have it be exactly what I want.
