Should Sideshow list what material a statue is giong to be made of?

They use to list it in the past but now show very little..Why do i bring this up? Mix media is a big deal to me at these prices which are getting out hand.I love my statues fully sculpted and made of Polystone..Not High Grade PVC..Sent the Alien King back because of all The PVC they use on it...but back to the topic, Should sideshow list it on PO?

Yes. I need to know if it's polystone. I also like to know if parts
are going to be metal, like swords, plastic like Vader, Boba heads
and so on.

Great thread, when I got my SS Skeletor, while I adored the statue overall, the extensive use of PVC on the armor was somewhat disappointing for me.

If it's a different material such as pvc or other plastics then I agree they NEED to inform us.

They created the superman pf with pvc and that piece had a HUGE backlash.

Also I think they should tell us if weapons are made of plastic or metal upfront as well.

MM as in clothing not so much.

Regarding the use of PVC...

Sculpts with small fine extruded detailed casted in a harder material will break much easier.

I have 15 years of casting experience, The harder the material of finer smaller pieces - the more likely it is to break removing from the mold and/or handling and/or packing, and/or shipping.

SO... for every small detailed piece to be casted solely in polystone this would equal higher production costs due to "loses" when removing from mold. Also production time to take extra precautions every time the piece is handled. Bigger boxes, more packing materials, polystone is also heavier all leading to much higher shipping costs.

All of this would significantly raise the cost of the statue which this forum HATES more than anything.

Better quality product is never talked about here if it will raise the costs, this is a losing battle.

That's a funny thing your using raising cost? Which its already happening. So to reduce cost sideshow is adding mix media and plastic..but at the same time raising cost? Let's look at that Alien King ,they made it under size to reduce cost,Then reduce cost by making it 1/3 PVC plastic and no breakage in shipping..but charge the same price if it was all polystone and 1/4 scale. If this is the trend with sideshow, Sorry won't be buying from then anymore. Not at the prices their charging now..look at XM.Better packaging and if they were sold here they be around same cost.So not buying your augment either.
