Kylo ex is already not selling at retail. This will be next. The prices exceeds aftermarket prices on most statues now.

Id say this looks on par with the original Luke PF. At this price point its extremely easy to pass on it. Like someone posted earlier, these newer released PF'S are selling lower on aftermarket than at retail.

I really want it but at every step Sideshow makes it harder and harder to keep collecting their product. I'm back on the fence.

Personally I think it is a good move, as now there is at least a marginal incentive if you settle/can only get the Regucollector edition.

This is something they used to do in the early days of SS. People SHOULD have been up in arms when they went to the SAME price for the version that had less, but somehow this got flipped.

This coming from a guy that 90%+ of my collection is EX pieces.
Late to the party but yeah the price difference between regular and EX versions is definitely not something new. Sideshow used to do this in the earlier days. There was normally a price difference of $10-$35 between the regular and EX versions. Of course I can see why the newer collectors who are used to the regular and EX being the same prices would complain. It's not something they are used to. Personally, I prefer that there be a price difference. If I want to save money, I get the regular. If I find the EX worthy of the added cost, I get the EX.

Iron Spider-Man EX vs Iron Spider-Man

She-Hulk EX vs She-Hulk

Darth Talon EX vs Darth Talon

Captain America EX vs Captain America

X-Men vs Sentinel No 3 EX vs X-Men vs Sentinel No 3

Yes I remember when I started collecting in 2007 was normal
for Sideshow to charge more for Ex. Was just like PPO kind of just went away.

Ordered day 1. As always, i am a sucker for anything Star Wars also....but.......

Please, Sideshow. Let forps guide you again. The market was awaiting for a Luke or better said a decent Luke. Sideshow could easily sell 5000 pieces. The facial expression or the likeness isnt bad. The mixed media elements are EXCELLENT. The weathering of the uniform also. The pose though? WHAT were you thinking? I personally love it, but i can get WHY Star Wars collectors dont. They are rather "conservative" collectors. They hate anything non-movie accurate or looking too exaggerated or anything non-serious. They are not comic-driven.

Thus questions "is he dancing?", "what the f... is he doing?", "easy pass" etc. I personally like it, but you can now understand why collectors are having a problem with the sculpt. Star Wars collectors are difficult to be pleased and hate anything going over the board. Nevertheless, i po'ed this moth...er..

My 0.26 cents, guys.
