help me decide please Daredevil commision

Hello,

I would like to inquire from the great masses!

I want a daredevil piece. Lee weeks is busy. Klaus Janson can only be picked up at a con. Mazuchelli is out of my reach. I am not a big fan of Maleev's style.
So that brings me to Michael Lark. who is asking 700 for Daredevil and Elektra with background.

John Byrne would be 1200 for the same descprition.

But If I am putting Byrne money into a commision i was trying to figure out how much of a hit I would take with him doing Daredevil instead of an artist who actually did him more than one issue and 3 or 4 covers.

I know it is about enjoying and this is for me but at that price I have to consider the monetary investment.

I guess do yall know any "a list " artists associated with Daredevil that are in the 1k area? (I dont go to cons

and if not What do you all think of Byrne vs Lark.(oops edit for right name)

thank you

What about Scott McDaniel?

Mack is hit or miss for me. Mostly miss on the commissions imo.

What no Frank Miller as an option? Just kidding. Mazz is my favorite artist on the series, but he's pretty much out of reach as you stated. While Byrne is top notch, and if you ever decide to sell it one day, you'd most likely get most of your money back through his art because of his name, I'd go with Michael Lark. His art was outstanding on DD

I've commissioned both -- they are both great and they both deliver -- really, its about which one you like more --

This was going to be my next suggestion. Having someone pick-up from Klaus and ship. My commission from Klaus at ECCC a few years ago is still one of my best con memories. He's an incredibly humble and engaging guy, plus the level of quality he put into my commission was otherworldly. I actually thought it was an old cover that he was selling. I lost my mind when his rep revealed that it was, in fact, my piece.

Klaus' daredevil is amongst my favorites, so I'd say to do Klaus if you can make it work, and like Lan said, have someone pick it up and ship.

May I suggest a guy that is under the radar but might blow you away. His name is Jeff Edwards. He did this. Look him up on deviant art. He's just amazing

$1k? Pfft. Easy. Wait for Granovs next con appearance, set up a piece, have a buddy pick it up for you and mail it your way. Mine was $800 and is my favorite piece in my collection. Hell, this site has a LOT of Granovs in collections, plenty can vouch for the work and value.
