I'm surprised I didn't notice this before, but the Sideshow Thing and Abomination look way too similar in pose, expecially in the leg position. It's as if they used the Thing statue as a starting point to sculpt an Abomination. It's just an observation though, so I'm not going to say that's what they did.

Those blue shorts look to be the same too, just slightly smaller on Abomination.
