What is your favorite fighting game and why ?

I would say Street Fighter 2, specifically. It was the creme de la creme on the Super Nintendo and really introduced me to fighters. I love Mortal Kombat 1&2 as well, but SF really takes the cake. Every hit felt massive with those sound effects and the music was captivating.

All of this if not that order but MUST give MvC its due as the Cr?me de la cr?me of of the entire original 2D
Fighters era.
Nothing feels as smooth or as fast as those games.
