My goodness, that sounds awesome! Are you looking for a different artist each character or are you going to have some repeat artists on the piece?

I would like a different artist on each piece.

I was thinking of going with the same artist on a few characters, but only if I included a group like the Wrecking Crew or the Reavers. As it is, I have a lot of characters and had to cut a few from the list as this is already a massive undertaking.

That's going to be awesome!! Are you planning on getting most of it done at cons or are you going to do it via the mail?

I'm thinking to start with it will be at cons. If a certain artist I'm looking for isn't available at a con, but would be willing to do a character at home, I wouldn't have an issue mailing the piece out to move it further along.

I'm working on a list of artists names and going back and forth on who I think I can get based off of past experience and others that I know will be a lot tougher.

A few that always seem to be at shows I can attend and have been lucky enough to have gotten pieces from before:

David Finch
Mark Bagley
Rags Morales
Ethan Van Sciver
Mark Texeria
Jim Calafiore
Alex Maleev
Essad Ribic
Ivan Reis
Jon Bogdanove
Sean Chen
Tom Raney
Lee Weeks
Humberto Ramos
Tim Seeley

After that I got a list of some artists that I've always wanted a commission done by, but have just never been able to line up:

Mark Brooks
Jim Cheung

Lastly is my ultimate want list to get anyone of them to do a character on this piece:

Arthur Adams
George Perez
Brian Bolland
Ron Lim

Plenty of others I'd love, but I know are never happening. Once I get started on this, I think that will pretty much dominate my collecting for some time. I'll still look to add a published page whenever I can, but this should be it for commissions.

My layout from Anthony Castrillo has just arrived.

It's even more impressive then I thought it would be. Not only did it come out better than I expected, it came out larger too. Anthony made it on five boards instead of the four that were originally discussed. This is going to give the artists plenty of room when working on a character.

I have to give many thanks to Jerry at serendipityartsales.net for getting this setup with Anthony for me. Jerry was an absolute pleasure to work with. Kept me updated during the process and made sure I had this in my hands in time for New York Comic Con.

Working on scanning it in, but having a few issues with the settings so the pages aren't coming out as clear as I'd like them. Plus it's so huge I'll have to play around with Photoshop to get them all as one image.

From left to right its:

Deathstroke
Green Goblin
Harley Quinn
Joker
Maestro
Juggernaut
Doomsday
Cyborg Superman
Dr. Doom
Dark Phoenix
Thanos
Mystique
Galactus
Spiral
Solomon Grundy
Bane
Venom
Darkseid
Bizarro
Evil Ernie
Clayface
Carnage
Nimrod
Taskmaster
Trigon
Sabretooth
Deadpool
Red Skull
Judge Death
Magneto
Ultron

Pretty much figure I'll be living in Artist Alley for a few days. Hopefully I can get something done by Cheung or Finch to start with.
