You’ve just described the conditions all statues regardless of material should ideally be displayed in, besides anyone who displays their statues in direct sunlight is asking for trouble. Under glass isn’t necessary unless you’re physically unable to dust, and silicone has a temperature resistance anywhere from around -55c to 300c, so basically you’ll die before the silicone does
The kind of degradation your expecting is that which you’d get with foam latex, and even that will out live most of us if treated with care.
I don’t get where this misconception silicone is such a fragile material comes from? Especially as most (though not necessarily you) don’t own any silicone pieces to be able to speak from experience.
