Thing is I would have gladly paid $1200 if they made it on par with the Thanos Maquette. Never thought I'd be thinking about saving money with one of my favorite villains. Oh well life goes on.

Rewards points were enough of a delusion to pull the trigger. Need a 1:4 Mags in my life.

I honestly feel SS didn't do enough in regards to modernizing the appearance. Maintaining the basic Magneto color scheme pulled way too many comparisons to other "classic" Magnetos, which collector's primarily used to bash the piece.

Had the added some other colors, made the purples more purple, and dulled the red down from the apple-bright it is, this could've been billed as a more modern interpretation and set it apart more.

(Of course, had the cape been sculpted....completely different story)

Oh, wait. But this is a "maquette" right?

I would have paid Thanos money if they gave us a statue worthy of it. This pseudo maquette is nowhere on that level and I would never pay that much for it.

Thanos is also closer to 1:3 scale. The prices are not even comparable if Magneto was on the awe factor level.

To each their own. I have no interest in a statue of Thanos sitting around. It looks nice but I could care less. I like this Magneto better by far.

Thanos is not just sitting on his throne which is what he actually does by the way..His right hand is crushing the skull on the arm chair and the other hand is holding the infinity gauntlet which would wast your puny mag away. Also their is more detail in the throne alone then in this statue..Just saying..

I like my Magneto better by far, and he's just sitting around.
