The edition is super low and remained unsold until as you say in hand pics. If they were not they would sell on pre order. I love how they look and really wanted Serpentor but I only buy female statues. These are also almost 1k with shipping and tax. But like I said they look great but the writing is on the wall.

I think perhaps we should move away from this pre-order mentality where we believe that if something does not sell great on pre-order then it's a failure. A lot of people simply don't want to wait almost a year for something on pre-order that they might not like when they actually see it.

I think from a companies stand point is if they do not sell at pre order they are not making the complete run but reducing it.

In this industry, pre-orders are pretty much used to gauge interest in the particular piece so if there's not too many POs, the final ES will be lower. Get a piece where tons of people decide to PO and the ES will be really high.
Probably why a few Prime 1 pieces ultimately got cancelled like the Aliens from Independence Day.
