I'm going to attempt to strip it with paint stripper and hope it doesn't eat the plastic.

I was going to do the same but didn't have the balls to risk it, I've done it with cheaper statues and kits over the years with no problems but couldn't bring myself to do it haha.
Please let us know how it goes, I may do it still

Use isopropyl alcohol to remove the paint and your statue will be unaffected.

You should use paint stripper and a wire brus to get the paint out of the cracks

I just picked up my number 337 BoTr
Probably won't open for a few months or January

Alcohol takes forever and you'd need alot of it.

I'd be very careful of using paint stripper. Some of them are harsh beyond repair to plastic. I'd really just use a fine primer. Very little detail is lost with it. But if you must try to strip paint on this piece, I'd do my homework and at the very least find out what brands are a hell no for plastic materials.

I can confirm one hell noer is citristrip stripping gel. Does amazing on metal, destroys plastic.

Yeah, it's a gamble. I've used kleen strip or whatever it is called in a can to strip a resin statue and it worked beautifully. Another one looked like Swiss cheese when it came in contact with the stuff. I will start at the tail and be very cautious with the water at the ready.
Based on my non-success with purple power as of late, I've given up on soaking things in that stuff.
