If it was Spider-Man Noir, I’d think about it.

I think it's a little much for SS to assume that for every villain they are creating, that a new Spider-Man needs to be made to match. In order to get a new Green Goblin, we have the (still not sold out) other Spider-Man PF.

Now this PF alludes there is a Doc Oc to follow.

Why not just make a central, neutral Spider-Man and then the Rogues? XM managed to make Rogues that stand-alone (with a totally boss Elektro and Lizard). So it can be done.

I think Bowen started the Spidey escaping with villain nods on the base.

The thing is though he also made all the villains as separate full size pieces as well, not just teases on a base.

They released them years ago around 2006-2007, they are in 1:4 scale. They also did Doctor Dooms armor, Caps Shield, Hawkeyes bow, Wolverines skeleton and Archangels wings.

It was sculpted by Martin Canale, that's how long Sideshow have been teasing us with a Doctor Octopus PF.

The previous Spider-Man PF is far superior to this.

Their previous SS PF is super duper mega ultra dynamic.. That's the best representation of Spiderman in my book. This one is interesting also but lets see, I am really curious on the base.

Yep.

I remember suggesting to SS that they should do a Doc Ock to go with the last PF, have him climbing on the steel beams taking a swipe at Spidey with the Green Goblin PF on the other side of him also attacking.

i hope that IF they do a doc oc they dont think to outside the box with some super dynamic action packed pose. villains can be more menacing when kept simple imo

I don't have a Spidey atm so i'm interested. I need to see the full reveal though because from that pic i can't work out which way Spidey is orientated
