(lady) Thor series ~ Aaron ~ SPOILERS
So it looks like (based on issue #1) the new Thor is Freyja the All-Mother. I'm going to assume that Aaron has a plan for all of this and it is a worthwhile story. I'm still not sure how much I buy into the whole 'deemed unworthy because of something Fury said' but I'll roll with it for the time being. Also don't understand why Odin couldn't lift Mjolnir when he tried either... 
Oh well...
I like that Thor lost an arm and is on his way to the Old King look shown in the God of Thunder run. Hopefully Ribic is back for some art duties in the near future

Does that even work? It's been my experience that the superhero genre in comics form seems so geared towards men that there's virtually very little you can do to get women to become regular readers. The way I see it, it's like trying to get more men to buy purses for themselves. It's just highly unlikely to get men to change their perceptions of purses or carry-alls, as it was called on Seinfeld... lol.

I think the real reason was too create buzz for both Marvel, the company ... & Thor the character. Maybe even thinking ahead to when Chris Hemsworth is done with his contract Marvel could slide an actress into the role for some real buzz & PC kudos. If you recall, the papers & even news broadcasts carried this story for a few days. Now, the buzz is over & we, the comic readers, are left with a Thor-gal.

She'll go away after Secret Wars is said and done. Thor will have his arm back too. A soft reboot is coming I think.

as much as i'm liking Thor-Gal .. i hate one handed, torn cape.. surly thor.. admittedly, hv only read stuff abt him in remender's uncanny avengers n axis stuff so far..
