Mean Joe or LT?
If you were a quarterback and had either of these two monsters charging at you, who'd strike the most fear in your heart?
Mean Joe Greene
or
Lawrence Taylor
???

Yeah, but that was a bit of a freak accident. Saw it live and it made me involuntarily scream when it happened.
Both were known for their strength, uncanny speed and agility, size and savagery. I actually think this is a close one...

I'm old enough to remember watching both play in their primes and to me it is LT, but not by as large a margin as some seem to think.
My favorite LT tribute is when they did that sports century thing on ESPN of the top 100 athletes of the century and they did one on LT and they interviewed Ron Jaworski and he said "He was on my back so much that the fans were starting to think 56 was my number"

I'm old enough to have seen both as well. Mean Joe and the Steelers dominated when I was in college. He was absolutely feared. Still, I think I agree that LT squeezes past him, only just, on the combo of raw strength/speed/savagery.

Voted for Mean Joe, admittedly a homer pick as I am a Steeler fan. Pretty even as players IMO so I will chalk them both up as #1 at 2 different positions.
Still giving the edge to Joe – he used Coke to improve and soften his image LT used coke, well, … to get high
