The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Two Nova's From Ian Richardson

Here is the latest cover in my continuation of the original Nova series numbered 11.3. This one features the original Black Knight and his arch adversary Mordred.

This second piece is pencil work for an up coming cover of a web comic I am co-writing with Darren Blackburn for his Nova619 series. This one features a couple of rather obscure Marvel villains El Jaguar and Mankiller.

I can say enough about how impressed I was with Ian's art on both covers. He has an Alan Davis quality to his work and is super affordable too! Ian can be reached at DA if you are interested in a commission for yourself.

Very impressed with the top cover. And liking the clever caption.

Did you notice that el Jaguar is in almost the same position/pose as Nova in the 1st cover. Purely coincidental I am sure but interesting to see.

Thanks! Purely coincidence I'm sure . Mankiller is pretty much in the same position as Mordred in the first one too.

Forgot to mention, caption by me,expertly rendered by Chris Ivy.

Very nice in particular the original Black Knight cover.

Spaceman vs medieval knight.

Thanks! I posted a brief synopsis of the story behind the cover on CAF. Of course I will never be able to afford the interiors for the art behind the cover. Comments(and critiques)welcome for my novice attempt at writing.

Rob, those are both outstanding pieces, and the one featuring the Black Knight is out of this stratosphere! Simply extraordinary. Ian does amazing work.
