Well it is rather silly, but my wife's favorite Disney character is Belle, and mine is Stitch, so I asked her to do Belle and Stitch dancing. With Belle in her yellow ball gown and Stitch in the Beast's blue tux... Will see how it turns out

John has a few pre-commissions lined up. We picked up 3 sketches from one artist last weekend at WWP. Figured that would be easier to knock a few off one a one day trip than on a 3 day show.

Talking to Carlo Pagulayan (and Kirk) about my Caiera headshot, but I had an emergency earlier today that wiped out the funds I had set aside for it.

Sometimes I wish I was still married... that crazy woman cleaned me out.

No... too early in the year, and I just got a promotion so I don't want to piss off my employer too much. lol
The irony being... my promotion is more work/more responsibility/less pay. LOL The position's more valued by the company, though.. yes... it makes no sense.

I've spent almost $2k the last few months on seadoo maintenance and my upcoming Marvel submission (commissions), so that wiped out my con money for a while. Very much so worth the cost, but yeah.. see you later, $! lol

I've been to ECCC though... fantastic convention, if you ever feel the urge to go. I prefer it over SDCC, now.

My preference is probably now:
#1 NYCC (I love NYC, though the amount of SF that attends this is why I enjoy the con so much)
#2 Heroes
#3 ECCC
#4 SDCC

If I lived in Portland/Seattle area still, ECCC would be the only con I'd bother with, as it was less than 6 hours' drive from my home.

i really wanted to make it this year, but, we opted to skip on the cons farther away from us. I've been talking to a homie and i think were gonna make a trip out of it next year. of course, if i go, the kids will wanna go, then the wife, so, it turns into a trip for 2 to a trip for 5. biiiiiiiiiggggg difference in $$$, especially in seattle. if i just go with a homie, i can crash at a buddies house and basically get free lodging and transportation (borrow buddy car). at least i have a year to work on my "pitch" to the family. its on my list. i suppose, this way, i have a year to save up for it.
