Maybe you can understand my disappointment XM decided not to use this version. I was hoping seeing the newer sculpt painted would help me get over it but it hasn't.

I don't see how that Superman would be possible, looks prime to lean. Understand the change for stability.

I like Superman and Batman (and the Omega Beams) better in that original render, but I like Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter better in the new version. My guess is that they probably couldn't engineer Superman in a way that he is only held up by his hand and Darkseid's arm.

Imo the early version is significantly better.

I can understand having to change Superman for structural reasons.

But, did they really ahve to give Batman a gun, take away omega beams chasing Flash, and an opportunity to show GL and MM using their powers?

I was in when I saw the early iteration, but I agree with the thoughts of one of the earlier posters- these guys look too stiff.

They could've kept the same pose for Superman and just moved him closer to Darkseid for stability. There's no reason they couldn't use the same connection points they have for the current version on the old one. The pose he's in now looks awkward and weak to me.

I also think the old version of Wonder Woman looks more natural in her stance than the current one, like she had better balance.

Martian Manhunter I don't mind. It would've been cool showcasing his powers but at least they replaced his with a killer sculpt. Same with GL. Superman looks like a last minute compromise.

Batman using exploding Batarangs would've been nice. The story of him taking the gun from the Parademon doesn't really work because they're so far apart. If Batman was standing on top of the Parademon and it had Batarangs sticking out of it that would make sense to me.

I also miss the Omega Beams chasing Flash. That was a great touch.

Darkseid looks great but I wanted this for the team and the dio costs waaaaaay too much for me to settle for what they're offering.
