I hope not. If he's made out of the same stuff Rhino was made of I'm okay with that. Rhino was pretty hollow but was super solid. What ever that thing was made of it was strong as hell.

I think doomsday material will be the same as OG Abomination PF. I will find out tomorrow and compare them.

Collector on FB just posted his pics and review. Confirmed the entire upper body is PVC / Vinyl. Base and lower body are polystone. Very disappointing

I think it's pretty clear by the SS unboxing video that it's made of lighter material considering how big it is and how easily she lifted it that high.

And I don't say that to insinuate lack of muscles or whatever lol. I'm just saying it's a pretty big body and you don't get the feeling from how easy it was moved that it weighs a lot.

Hmm. Why go with the lighter material? It's not like he is suspended in mid air. I don't understand this choice.

For $1404 I wanted this statue to be a solid 40 lbs, not including the base. I’m guessing he will be around 25 lbs. Do materials cost that much to make? Bane was a big piece made from good material, and costs $800.

epoxy and stone powder aren't expensive. I bet this has more to do with shipping weight and breakage tests than anything else. Polystone has a higher risk for breaking during shipping and obviously PVC Vinyl does not.

I'd bet anything they made prototypes of both versions, did a dozen drop tests and found the polystone version had breakage issues, so instead of improving the packaging they went the PVC route

I have seen several vinyl products of Sideshow. The quality is getting good.Sideshow was beginning to control this material. I guess we will see more nice vinyl statues come out.
