Prime 1: Godzilla vs. Kong (Two statues diorama) - Page 23

Going through this thread from start to finish this morning has been entertaining.

I have been absolutely dying to see what Prime 1 will offer for the GxK movie, in the mean time I keep going back to this thing. I would love it, but that price is absolutely devastating. The middle section being the same price as the character pieces is ridiculous. If they couldn't get it done cheaper, I feel it probably warranted a change to the concept. I badly want an epic Kong piece, he has been my guy since I was only a few years old. The diorama may be unrealistic, but maybe the Kong on his own. I jumped on some waitlists - we shall see. Really hoping there is an epic Kong solo piece from the new movie, really disappointing they didn't produce a Kong Vinyl figure like they did for Godzilla.

Did any of you guys who preordered it finally get it? Let's see some pics and review!

Same. I know the evolved Goji was basically made to sell toys, and felt underutilized in the movie, but I actually really like the design.

Yeah I think Godzilla looked great. The wait for the announcement is killing me. I am inching closer and closer to pulling the trigger on this as I want a grail level Kong statue, but would really like to see what is in store for this film before doing so. Think i can talk myself into one massive irresponsible purchase, but not two. I'd love to just see a large Kong piece.

Not sure if you are on Instagram, but Spiral just showed a Titans of the Monsterverse series Godzilla from GxK. It is the same sculpt as the 30cm one they put up for pre order a few months back.

It looks amazing, will definitely be a purchase for me. They told me back in May to expect a Kong to drop some time in July whether 30cm or 50cm, but nothing yet. The wait is killing me. Kong doesn't get nearly the love that Godzilla does.

I think maybe the only thing about this that worries me is the straight tail. Displaying him might be tricky for me. I may be in the minority here, but I would love to see more studios take a crack at the tail curving around him to make for a circular display profile.

No problem dude! There's kind of nowhere else to discuss Godzilla stuff so will probably be using this as a dumoing ground until I'm told otherwise.

You definitely aren't wrong! Will take a lot of space to display. I'm just stoked at how awesome it looks.

Spiral finally addressed one of my comment about Kong on their posts. They reiterated that Kong is definitely coming, and that they have a surprise for Kong fans as well.

Sounds awesome, I can't wait.

Regarding this diorama, I am still on the fence. I think i am just going to order the Kong portion.

Yeah pumped about Kong just need them to show something!

They didn't announce anything regarding price or PO time frame for the TOTM version of Godzilla evolved. I asked them on Instagram but no response.
