DC Omnibus thread

A notice popped up on my Amazon account showing the Batgirl: The Bronze Age Omnibus Vol. 1 is released in December. Anyone have any initial thoughts?

Bronze Age = great stuff

Batgirl = well, never read that.

I can't imagine it would be bad.

Looks like DC is finally reprinting this in color:

The Omnibus might not have a few of the stories, though, as it has slightly fewer pages.

The stories are mostly self-contained and don't really build much character history. There are some moments that don't make sense, but these are comics from a time when even Batman and Superman are rarely in serious danger.

I have Showcase Volume 1 and am glad that I read it. You just have to be mindful of the era's sensibilities. For example:

This Swamp Thing Bronze Age Omnibus looks worthwhile. I own a few Swamp Thing trades which I think capture most of what’s in here but I’ll need to check to see how much more content is in this book:

I heard that there is a printing error with The Justice League International Omnibuses. What is that printing error ? i was about to get it but then i heard about this printing error and that stopped me from getting it for now until i find out if it's something bad or not that bad.

They swapped a couple pages in the middle and left a whole dialog bubble blank from Guy Gardner.

Thanks. I bought Punisher Back to War Omnibus with the money. Lets hope they don't make the same errors at their next printing.
