I do not think it is the pose. It's the legs. They could use re_working.

Weird decision considering I don't think a lot of the other X-Men pieces are based on the animated series.

Probably. I guess most of these will go to US stores, who will later discount them.

I'd guess they are to far into production on this thing to make any major changes now. They wrongly assumed this would be well received I'd assume.

Ya I'm with them, but don't want to bash SS on it, but want to be constructive rather than being just negative. Since it looks like they are paying attention to this forum as well. Want to provide something useful to take back.

That's what I'm guessing which is usually SS MO.
Seems a small few who genuinely like it. If those people PO, then I can see 200 being possible. But I want them to know we want Beast, if this was your artistic version which I get you want to have. Just make sure the other one is close behind within a year.

Maybe they don't want to set up a precedent of making changes after feedback. The only exception was adding Superman PF's second head sculpt. But that too was not an 'alteration'. Have there been any other case where SS has made changes to sculpts?

And again I must lament both those lovely ladies not being near actual 1/4 scale despite manufacturer's claims...

Yes ultimately it is the execution and not the concept.
But as Tbolt had pointed out, I do not see what they could alter to make this work. it is as if once seen like this the concept is "spoiled" and even changing to what would have originally been acceptable to most will now not work as the negative memory has been established.
Sideshow rarely reworks things because reworking is rarely successful.

Art is hard. Coming up with an idea is nearly as easy as recognizing if something is pleasing or not. Actually executing on an idea is very difficult.
