I was thinking on the sketchbook themes and I was thinking:
- A-Z
- Joss Whedon
- 1 minute con sketches
Thoughts?

I was also thinking of having a few sketchbooks. The 1 minute con sketch is something I've done in the past and it's pretty cool. And it would only be a small, easy to carry book. A-Z is something I'd do if I can find a well bound book that doesn't have a huge page count. It's also something that I'd like to do in order.
I really like the collected works of Joss Whedon. And I think it would be cool to challenge artists with something a little different.

It's good to have at least a couple of sketchbooks, as if one sketchbook is in the hands of one artist awaiting his input, you can take the other one/s around to other artists. That happened when Shanan went to Dragon*Con for the first time, where Mark Brooks had my Spider-Man: Friends and Foes sketchbook for pretty much the entirety of the con.

I didn't want to be a smart alec and say "A-Z of Joss Whedon characters/creations, 1minute sketches".

Fantastic haul Mez, you really cleaned up!
Unfortunately I ended up with no art from the con at all, Stan Lee took all the time and energy I had, in between family commitments.
I'm curious whether you got anything from Stan and if so how you managed to slot that in with picking up art? It was beyond me!

To me, Stan Lee wasn't a big deal. I didn't grow up with his works and while I think he's an important figure in comics, I wasn't that interested.
In terms of making time for everything, I had a few things helping me.
1. The autos I wanted were for Fran Kranz, and his line was only about 10-15 minutes long.
2. I had some dealer friends buy me the tokens before the doors opened.
3. I had a media pass, allowing me to lineup with the VIPs.
4. I avoided both Stan Lee and Patrick Stewart. So the longest line for me was Francis Manipul (on the first day I was way back in line and just got stuff signed and got other art, for the sunday I was second in line).
