Yeah, Shoo said it’s a dick move on the part of Marvel and I agree. It was purposely made to look off. Probably so people would re-buy the books down the road to have everything matching. Their new stuff doesn’t sell like it used to so I hope manga continues to beat Marvel and DC in new comic sales so they will continue to sell omnis of the older stuff that people will actually buy.

I'm on a mission to get all the X-Men Omnibus. Pure insanity.

Ever since I saw Gem Mint showcase all of them on his YT channel, I've had the urge to get them all.

Dup...

Funny thing is I have most, if not all, of the singles from the 80's and 90's and early 2000's. I guess once I get all the X-Men Omni ...the singles will just stay in their boarded sleeves for safe keeping.

Does this include all of the secondary X-Men collections like New Mutants, Excalibur, Wolverine, X-Factor, X-Statix, Legion, etc.?

I'm a big X-Men fan, but most of the post-Claremont books, I have no interest in reading again--the exceptions being Peter David's X-Factor, Grant Morrison's New X-Men, Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men and the current Jonathan Hickman X-universe. The Mutant Massacre and everything after when the books got crossover happy, I'll skip.

Peter David's X-Factor was on my omnibus wishlist for a long time. It's good to see those issues are getting collected now.

The other hardcover I really want is John Byrne's X-Men: The Hidden Years. Near Mint Condition suggested collecting that run with the other X-Men appearances that occurred between issues #66 and #94 which is a good idea. I have those in Masterworks format, but would gladly trade for an all-encompassing omnibus.

Just the Omnibus or the OHCs also?

If you are on Goodreads, I'm in a group and there are other members that did the same thing. We have info/lists that spell out what's been collected.

That's quite an undertaking! Being into X-Men during the 90's, I'm just looking to get the omnibi of Uncanny X-Men and Jim Lee/Claremont run, so hoping they keep these coming.

No, not yet on the secondary X-Men titles. Eventually I will.

For right now, I'm getting the following Omni:
- The X-Men Vol 1&2
- Uncanny X-Men Vol 1-4
- X-Men Classic
- X-Men Mutant Massacre
- X-Men Vol 1&2
- X-Men Age of Apocalypse Vol 1&2
- and X-Men Avengers Onslaught
