The irony is, rather than step up the quality, PCS choose to take the sticker route? Thats pretty sad considering how low the ES on this peice.

I'd rather take the safe route that makes the statue look amazing from 3-6" away, rather than look like crap all over.
If you can see the lines by putting your eyeball on Dhalsim's head, then all power to you. In a industry where there's factories involved, etc, I'd rather just get a solid, safe product lol.

Its cool that you're willing to settle for something like this...But in all honesty, vinyl stickers look chessy on a $300 + high end collectible.

I never said they were optimal anything, and I agree with you, in an ideal world, I would love for them to be handpainted on. But given the circumstances, I'd rather I get a safe product than something that's wack.
And you say that I'm willing to settle, and I agree with you. Is there a better Dhalsim anywhere else on the market?

They are not gonna peel off,the same sticker format was also used for Guile's USA flag tattoo, and I don't think anyone has ever mentioned the sticker having peeling issues. It is unfortunate that PCS goes to great lengths to create the best SF statue out there, only to cheapen out with the small fine details, but whatever

IMHO I'd rather have a perfect looking tiny American flag printed into a Decal than a hand painted one.
Tiny details like that are best made with a PC and Printer.
The quality of eyes has also vastly improved with decals.
But you can finish them differently with some paint touches after the Decal has been applied.
My friend customizes Mcfarlane hockey figures. And the tiny detail he achieves for the characters jerseys is astounding. And he's printing decals!
That level of precision cannot be achieved by hand brushing. At least not at the factory level.
But, I suppose the argument could be made that the very large red markings on Dhalsim's head are not fine details, and could easily be achieved by hand painting.
But I prefer my lines nice and straight. So I'll take the decal with some airbrush blending

There's no way around using decals. They can't be painted on because there's too much variation in polystone to create a tool/stencil to do it neatly.
