Let me start by staying it's not what I collect, and that it looks sick in sketches... That said, when will the throne get played out? Just asking...

It'd be better if he were more subdued in his posture. Most of the images you find of him sitting on a throne is him sitting like he's bored. It kind of gives him a more regal, ominous presence imo.

If this statue is based on the New52 version, then this statue is going to be huge!

Hopefully, they base this statue on the classic Darkseid. If they do that, then this piece would be almost the same size as the SSC Thanos on Throne MAQ. It would be nice if Thanos and Darkseid are similar in size. And they can "modernize" the classic costume tastefully for Darkseid.

Final Crisis Darkseid's my favorite non-Kirby design for the character. I believe he was sitting in a throne before confronting Batman but don't recall for sure.

First post in a worthy thread. Looking forward to Darkseid on the throne he is my favorite villain. I can't see them doing Kirbys outfit they will want to use a modern outfit hopefully its not new52 prime 1 is already doing him in 1:3 (standing up).

P1 new52 darkseid looks 1/3 scale or larger but is 1/4 scale, depending on how its sized could look good with a lot of stuff... #intrigued

Good point..he should look more arrogant.

His new Rebirth look is a mix of Classic with it being more modernized. It think it would be perfect.

Iron Studios should call it a "maquette", otherwise people will complain about the size of a 1/3 statue and skip it.

Very interested in this piece. I've got the P1 on order, but this could make a nice piece in a villain gallery.
