How did You guys ship Statues to International?
to my fellow collectors~
this question always in my mind, i had problems finding the right affordable rates for international shipment, I ship from USA, my buyers are to Urkaine, UK, germany, Asia.....it is near impossible these days with USPS postal service, as the size of the box either too BIG or too heavy?
and for FEDEX, UPS, DHL, they are charging insane price for one shipment, we are talking hundreds, near thousand to ship 1 package.
as we all know most 1/4 statues are huge and box are twice as big, so is other companys statues
i want to know how u guys ship it? or is there a cheaper way?

You can ship a pretty damn big box through USPS. I've shipped a Hulk PF (although it actually breaks the rules).
Fedex and UPS have priced themselves out of the international shipping game.

I would recommend cutting off international shipments completely, but USPS is the way to go unless the buyer has plenty of cash and wouldn't mind paying more duty fees and taxes to get it safely delivered by UPS/Fedex/DHL.

that doesnt make sense, how did u break the rule? it is impossible to ship without checking with them
the USPS rates u are talking about expire long ago, there are new rules now.
theres no way u can ship Hulk PF to international wit ha fair price, it depends on the country i guess

It's not impossible bro. Trust me.
It was shipped to Italy, and yes, it was a few months back. Haven't shipped anything that large internationally in a while.
The rates are still good. I just calculated a 108" in girth (38" length + 2x(20" width + 15" height)) at 50 pounds for $136 to Italy.
Asian and other countries have a much smaller size limit, usually 79" in girth, so yeah, if you're trying to ship large packages there, you're screwed.

No, the PF box is bigger (than the comiquette and bigger than the allowed measurements.) I used the measurements above and created my own postage. If you put in the actual measurements, it will be too large for priority and express. The trick is to get it into USPS without them measuring the box.
All that said, there is always the chance the box gets returned to you for being oversized.
Yes in the U.S.

so basically you create your own shipping label print it out and pickup/drop it off? and without them measuring....lol
force them ship it. so....that is the trick, hahahaha

I use freight forwarder (sea) to ship large pieces to me. It takes long but I think it's the only way to get a practical shipping rate.
