you know, one of the reasons we quit going was due to my fear of chaos erupting in the con while i was there with my family. with 2 kids, its not only tough enough keeping an eye on them every moment, but, imagine if some $hit went down inside there, say, on saturday? who knows how many lives would be lost in the mad dash out of the convention center, flooding into downtown. this is a sad story. even with all the traffic and law enforcement officers they do have working the con, accidents are bound to happen.

I really hope nothing like that ever happens at the show. My wife and I have been bringing our kids with us since they were born. Its definitely a challenge to keep an eye on them at all times and the crowds can get to be a little much.

Yeah, those with badges are all channeled in through a staging system as the doors open. Once things get going its easy to go in/out as you please. Some of the best pics I ever took at SDCC were of the thousands of people standing around nuts to butts waiting to get in. Good luck.
