**The Dark Knight Rises - Official Discussion**

Possible Lazarus Pit photos and possible backstory for Bane. Cotillard looks to have a small role, definately not a possibility for Talia Al Ghul?

is it confirmed that pence is going to be young Ra's??

if so I really hope its a back in time sequence and not Ra's in the modern day, having used the Lazarus Pitt

the leaked synopsis on the use of the lazarus pit with bane sounds better and more in fit with a Nolan film than what the Lazurus pit is actually used for.

In this case I'm strongly voting against comic book accuracy.

God forbid they actually use some reference, like "Vengeance of Bane".

I hate to think about all the years I spent in school studying. Because apparently you can just go through life making things up to suit your needs.

I don't think so. A lot of this stuff is just speculation right now and will be for a long time.

It's way too early to start criticizing. Nolan has more than proved himself that he can handle the Batman universe, this is one film that I'm not sweating over.

Are you out of your mind??? Nolan MADE up his Batman universe show me where Ra's Had anything to do with the first year of Batman, when was Scarecrow the first villain Batman ever faced?? Show me where Luscious Fox had anything to do with the first year of Batman IMO this movie will be the same crap fest of Made up continuity that the other 2 films were. These films are aimed at the mass market NOT to people who know the character and his 70+ year mythos I can go on for hours about how incorrect and wrong the Nolan Batman films are. I am not at all a fan of these films and hope this is the last one so all the crap about them die off and maybe in another 10 years there will be another reboot and maybe then it will be done right.

On a serious note though, I gotta say, much of Batman's 70+ year mythos is more ridiculous than anything Nolan has ever done

And how many times has said mythos been changed, rewritten, and retconned?

The concept of trying to make a solely faithful Batman movie makes me think of the classic line spoken by Ned Flanders in a Simpsons episode...

"I've done everything the Bible says — even the stuff that contradicts the other stuff!"

Ughhh damn typos I might would rather see Batman with Luscious Fox than these films lol

but honestly YES Batman mythos over 70 years has been screwed all to hell and back .. But if you as a Director say I am going to make a film about Batmans origin you DON'T throw stuff into it that has nothing to do with his Origin then claim its the most correct Batman film ever made. Sorry but for me a Batman origin film should have been him starting out slowly Batman facing some thugs to then maybe Dr Death or Hugo strange etc ( characters who were in the first comics) Instead he takes a character like Ra's Al Ghul who does not show up in Batmans mythos for almost 30 years and adds him into Batman origin to me thats unforgivable on all aspects.

Like I said I can go on for hours about all of this but to me. I just dislike the films in every aspect I dislike the costumes the actors the story lines the Battank etc etc..to me honestly they should have left things dead with Batman and Robin and never came back to a Batman film franchise unless they were going to be true to Batmans comics. then you have people say ohh its based on Frank Millers Dark Knight.. WHERE??? the hell do people get that.. I dont remember Ra's Al ghul in that or Scarecrow etc etc or some chick Batman use to be in love with etc etc

then I can go on and on then go with the problems in Batman Dark Knight. lol But I wont

I know that the films aren't accurate and that's because they are films and his vision, not adapted from a particular story or arc and I think his done a terrific job. I'd rather an inaccurate great Batman film than an accurate terrible Batman film. Majority of Batman fans are more than satisfied with the films, but there's always a handful that seem to be unable to accept the fact the films will ALWAYS be different from the comics.
