The owl doesn't look producible. It's legs and feet look too fragile for resin and would most likely be susceptible to breakage.
And one question for the history experts out there, should the inside of the shield be concaved and follow the contours of the front of the shield? The back is currently flat. I would think that a sold or wood filled shield would be too heavy and impractical. What is correct for the period?
Everything else is coming along quite nicely. I look forward to seeing the design on the front of the shield.

I think the owl can be done with a good plan in place. The inside of the shield should be concave, and I believe it will be in the final product. This work in progress just doesn't display that as of yet.

I kind of agree about the owl. I really like the fact that the owl is there but if it is only held on by his own scrawny feet I am afraid he will break off pretty easily. Maybe one of his wings can touch and thereby be attached to either one of her legs or a shield or something else to give it more stability.
Otherwise I love this entire line of statues.
