In honour of 1k I present one of the rare feelgood stories from the tragedy that has unfolded here in Victoria in the past week. This is "Sam" the koala who was saved from the killer bushfires which are already regarded as Australia's worst ever natural disaster. He, and this photo taken last Sunday have become a symbol of love and hope for all those affected.
