Same. I think this is the best Daredevil statue that has been done to date.

Biting my nails waiting for this. I think they really knocked it out of the park.

I'm unfamiliar with the problems with Punisher.

The Hawkman sample I had was a victim of poor QC (in the basic casting of the figure). I was also quite disappointed in the engineering of the wings attachment.

The paint apps and sculpt, however, were exceptional.
Too bad all that greatness was in the service of something that wasn't even basically functional (my sample), and too low an ES to even be replaced.

Looking at DD, there look to be only two areas that could present a problem.

The figure could lean over time given his orientation.
That could possibly be fixed with museum putty or a mod using magnets, so I doubt it would be an insurmountable issue...if it happens.

The other area of disappointment I can potentially see will be with the "stained glass" window. If they don't use clear plastic with translucent paints, it's likely to be simply a printed picture underneath the sculpted frame which could cheapen the look of the whole statue if not done well.

If that's the case, at some point I'd look into knocking that out and scratch building a window that's more lifelike.

Other than those two things, they would really have to work hard at screwing this up as it's a pretty straight forward design with (what looks to be) minimal engineering.

There could always be casting distortions and paint apps failings- but again, it's a pretty simple and minimalist piece all around. Very few colors and low tolerances on all but the flesh on the face as far as needing to "stay in the lines".

Of course, if it's another eggshell hollow figure that arrives broken, this will be the last IS statue I ever look at twice, let alone order.

I was so close to ordering this guy. DD is not one of my favorites (even though he's one of Marvel's Batman characters), but this sculpt is fantastic. The Punisher that IS put out is "the" version of the Punisher IMO. The issues with that statue was the caps on his rifle scope that broke for a lot of fellas and some people didn't like the rubberized hands. I didn't at first but it made a lot of sense to do the hands that way. That Punisher is easily my favorite statue in my collection and I'm betting the DD will be awesome too, though I'll have to look through other fella's photos of him.

NOT my pictures. I found them posted on Facebook from a guy who said he got them from a Brazilian statue group. I do not know who the original poster is.
