Death Proof

just watched it, a few questions

1. why does Tarantino suck the life out of every scene he is in?

2. is he finished as a film maker?

3. why the hell was the non-actor Zoe Bell in it trying to act? (the kewi stunt woman)

apart from that, a few ok set pieces, lots of very boring dialogue, only bright spot was Russell as stuntman Mike

I didn't like this one at all

As for Tarantino being done, I saw in an interview once where he wanted to make a movie about the Vega brothers. I think that would be awesome.

For those who may not know, according to Tarantino, Vic Vega (Mr. Blonde in Reservoir Dogs) and Vincent Vega (Travolta in Pulp Fiction) are brothers created by him in seperate films. Of course both die in those movies so the movie would have to take place when they were younger and Travolta and Madsen are too old to play them as younger men, but I absolutely love the idea and wish he would do it.

yeah i read about that some years ago and it was a fantastic idea, but i'm sure he would find some way to f**k it up now, probably by having himself in it as another Vega brother

with an inordinate amount of speaking lines

I liked him better when he knew his limitations and killed himself off in Reservoir Dogs

I thought Deathproof suked too.
Only decent thing about it is Stunt Man Mike.
The car chases were pretty good but other than that it sucked.
Eli Roth is no actor either

I didn't find Death Proof to be that appealing either.
I liked Planet Terror though.
